Massachusetts may clarify and change 2009 minimum creditable coverage rules

Proposed changes to minimum creditable coverage (MCC) rules may prompt employers to review the health care coverage available to their Massachusetts employees for the coming year. Although employers aren't required to provide coverage meeting MCC standards, many want to do so. Those that do should review the proposal, consider whether to submit comments by the Sept. 12 deadline and work with their vendors to determine the best approach for 2009.  (Select News, 22 Jul 2008)
