Procter & Gamble employs a number of human capital strategies to build an innovative workplace, as CEO A.G. Lafley explains in this article. Upon joining P&G in 2000, Lafley focused on practicing "open innovation," in which the skills and interests of all employees are considered. Lafley also weeds out employees who lack curiosity or are controlling, insecure and unwilling to share and learn.
