Perspective: Executive retention during major ownership transactions

Retaining key leaders is critical during mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and private equity deals. This effort should include communications with specifics about the deal, executives' roles and opportunities, as well as compensation programs. This Perspective describes factors to consider in designing an executive retention program that supports transaction objectives.  (Perspective, 14 May 2008, 6 pages)
