Perspective: Universal ownership -- Exploring opportunities and challenges

Universal owners -- institutions owning securities in diverse sectors -- have a unique interest in the broad economy's long-term health. Due to their diversification and size, these investors have more at stake in external forces that may benefit some sectors but have other long-term effects on overall economic growth.
