Mercer's National Survey of Employer-Sponsored Health Plans found employers offering consumer-directed health plans can save as much as $1,500 per participant over average costs for a PPO enrollee. Achieving adequate enrollment and positive employee satisfaction with the program are central to meeting health care cost management objectives through CDHPs.
